In recent years, the research group has been devoted to the study of new methods and mechanisms of molecular sieve synthesis. It has reported for the first time microwave-assisted ion-thermal synthesis of molecular sieves, and also discovered the unique structure-directing role of organic amines in the process of ion-thermal synthesis of molecular sieves.

Water plays a very important role in the synthesis of molecular sieves. However, due to the ubiquitous presence of water, its influence on the crystallization process of molecular sieve is difficult to study and prove experimentally. The study creatively selected pseudo-boehmite (AlOOH), ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (NH4H2PO4) and ammonium fluoride (NH4F) that were completely free of water as the reaction raw materials, thus realizing the ion-thermal synthesis system completely free of free water Preparation of molecular sieves. Based on this system, the effect of the addition of reaction dose of water on the crystallization process of molecular sieve was quantitatively studied. It was found that when no water was added, the molecular sieve slowly crystallized under the action of trace autogenous water; once the reaction dose of water (H2O / Al = 1, molar ratio) was added, the crystallization kinetics of the molecular sieve was extremely high. Big improvement. This proves that the crystallization process of the molecular sieve is an autocatalytic process; the addition of the reaction dose of water or other polar species can greatly promote the crystallization process of the molecular sieve. The study was highly evaluated by four reviewers and agreed that this is "the first time that it has clearly demonstrated the extreme sensitivity of molecular sieve formation to water content."
