Microwave fast drying silicone production process

Abstract The method and operation steps of rapidly drying the solid adsorbent silica gel in industrial production by using microwave absorption of polar molecules are described in detail. Through tracking and observing the whole process of microwave drying, the mechanism and key of microwave drying silica gel are mastered, which lays the foundation for the microwave drying process.

Silica gel A solid porous material with different particle sizes, suitably dehydrated from silicic acid gels mSiO2 · nH2O. Its structural characteristics and use of activated carbon are very similar. It has strong adsorption power to moisture vapor and dust particles in the air, a lot of desiccant, clarifying agent, and also serves as a catalyst carrier. In the packing project, silica gel is used as a desiccant in a large amount, and the conventional thermal drying method is generally used. The oven is used for baking for 24 to 48 hours for use. The traditional thermal drying has poor thermal conductivity, and the presence of porous adsorption molecular forces makes it difficult to volatilize the water inside the desiccant. The period from heating to drying is long and consumes time and energy. And it is difficult to achieve the purpose of deep water removal. According to the principle of microwave heating and microwave heating practice, on the basis of repeated study of the composition and hygroscopic mechanism of silica gel, the use of polar molecular desiccant silica gel has high electromagnetic loss characteristics to develop microwave industrial drying process. According to the performance index of the commercially available discolored silica gel, the moisture absorption rate is over 31%. The graph [2] provided shows that the moisture absorption rate of the silica gel can reach 37%, and the wet state should have sufficient electromagnetic absorption. According to the microwave drying kinetics principle, the microwave directly heating the moisture causes the vaporization to form a water vapor pressure that is injected outwards, which drives the adsorption water inside the silica gel to move outward along the capillary structure, thereby greatly increasing the water discharge rate.
