Printing operators often encounter the problem that the substrate (paper) sticks together due to the static electricity on the surface, causing double or multiple sheets to be picked up by the feeder nozzle at the same time, causing the feeder to stop. Static electricity is caused by insufficient electrons (positive charge) or too many electrons (negative charge) on the surface of the substrate. During the processing and transportation of paper, due to the dry environment and the low moisture content of the paper, static electricity is easily generated. In principle, an environment with a relative humidity of 40-42% is more suitable for paper storage.

Solution:

• The moisture content of the paper should be controlled between 45-55%, so that the static electricity will weaken until the moisture content increases until it disappears. • It is best to install an air conditioner in the printing workshop, and the relative humidity should be controlled at 50-55%. It is worth noting that: in the cold season, in a heated factory building, the air humidity will suddenly drop due to the heating of the air conditioner. • Anti-static equipment such as electrostatic rods and electrostatic blowing can effectively weaken the power of static electricity; Electrical conductivity, thereby preventing the accumulation of electrons on the paper
